- Subspecialised in STEREOTACTIC RADIOSURGERY. Pioneer
in Stereotactic Radiosurgery in South Asia,
carrying out the first procedure in South Asia in
May 1995 at the Apollo Hospitals Madras.
Other special areas of interest include Stereotactic Biopsy and Management
of Head Trauma.
- Pioneer in
introducing telemedicine
in India.
Invited guest speaker in International Conferences on Telemedicine held at
Cairo, Kosovo, Dhaka etc. Have given lectures at national conferences
on Medical Informatics, besides being resource person for the MGR
Medical University
and Pondichery universities for these subjects.
Only one from India
to have participated in multipoint intercontinental telemedicine
conferences. Organized teleconferences with New
Jersey, Nagoya
(Japan), Riyadh,
etc. Popularized using video teleconferences for CME programmes in India.
