Radiosurgery
Stereotactic Radiosurgery is a non-invasive method of treating cerebral arterio venous malformations and certain types of brain tumours.
- General
- AVM: A Cerebral Aterio Venous Malformation is an
congenital abnormality in the brain where Aterties and Veins are mixed
together. This results in increased risk of bleeding, causing either death
or major neurological problems. Some Clinical Illustrations are shown

- Successful Obliterations: Case 1, Case 2 and Case 3
- Successful Obliteration of Giant AVM - See article in Journal of Clinical Neuroscience Vol 10, pp 272--276, 2003. DOI 10.1016/S0967-5868(02)00335-1.
- Meningioma: A benign tumour where SRS has proved to be extremely effective compared to open surgery particularly in critical locations. Some Clinical Illustrations are shown below:
- ANF: Acoustic Neurofibroma is a common benign tumour involving the the nerve of hearing. SRS is slowly replacing open surgery in the management of these tumours. Some Clinical Illustrations are shown below:
